The Sovereign Interface: Why I’m Back to Building
A journey from AI-ethics & music to Bitcoin consulting. Now launching a new service to bridge sovereign Bitcoin stacks with Canadian compliance for business owners, emphasizing user control with a "Don't Touch the Money" strategy.
Hello World... again. (How did we get here? - here's my over-due blog post)
Back in August, I was deep in the weeds of "AI Ethics"; trying to define what Allyship looked like between humans and machines. And explored those insights as posts under the Human/AI Collaboration tag. Through those experiences, I realized something critical: You can’t code ethics into a system you don’t own. That realization sent me down a different path. I started composing lyrics and music as Nigil Caenaan (my musical alter-ego) to explore the creative process of human-AI symbiosis.
If you want a real adventure, take the lyrics from the Recognition EP or Resonance EP; and paste them into an AI prompt field of your favourite LLM. It's amazing how an AI can reflect back values that feel deeply human when grounded in art.
Then came the Spring 2025 Nosfabrica Hackathon. The work Benjamin Morrow (Megistus.xyz) and I did on Wellness Ally was a clear indication of where "vibe coding" is headed. The project tied for 3rd place, and taught me a lot about how powerful cryptographic tools like Nostr could be.
Add in 6 months of bootstrapping experience with the SoundHSA team; it's hard to go back to the 'default world': my heart is TRULY in banking products. My love is in enabling everyday people to step into this new future in the areas that matter most. And I realized I am here to help build platforms that put the user back in control.
The "User Experience" of Money is changing
I’ve spent my career building digital experiences for Canada’s biggest banks and provincial government agencies. I get the need for continuity in the age of disruption. This next epoch of change, and the time to evolve the landscape of relational value is now.
I believe that if I do the work, I should hold the value. My accountant wants CAD bank statements. My desire is to have a wallet that holds BTC UTXOs. The friction between them is where sovereignty goes to die. I accept Bitcoin not because I’m a speculator, but because I believe in Sovereign Money.
As a UX consultant, I don't have a lot of Bitcoin clients yet... but I am making 2026 the year that changes. Every year, tax season rolls around, and I’m reminded that the 'Old World' and the 'New World' do not speak the same language.
Enter Humanjava Bitcoin Consulting Services
I am building a Bitcoin-based feature set, not as a startup, but as a bridge.
It is a tool for Canadian business owners (consultants, makers, and digital citizens) who want to opt out of the fiat game without becoming criminals. It connects the Sovereign Stack (Coldcard, Proton, Bitcoin) to the Compliance Stack (QuickBooks, CRA, CAD).
It is built on a simple philosophy: "Don't Touch the Money."
- This service won't hold your keys.
- This service won't hold your deposits.
- This service will be the interface that lets you move between worlds safely.
A Future for Crypto Citizens
This is about more than just accounting. It’s about identity and permissioned identification. The future is all about Citizenship. It’s about proving (cryptographically) that you are a real human, with a real business, in a world flooded with AI bots and deepfakes.
Humanjava Enterprises is taking the first steps toward that future. A future where your bank account, your identity, and your data belong to you, not a corporation, a government, outside of your control. Where there are easily verifiable ways to match trust and provide traceability when requested.I’m building this in public.
I’m building it for myself. And if you’re a Canadian business owner who is tired of asking permission to use your own money, I’m building it for you too.
Let’s build the interface to the new world.
